Horizon Keilmuan Nusantara is an academic journal that focuses on the dissemination of community service activities (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) carried out by lecturers, researchers, and practitioners. The journal aims to document and share the practical implementation of knowledge, research findings, and technological innovations that provide direct benefits to communities.

The journal was established as a scientific platform to encourage collaboration between higher education institutions, government agencies, community organizations, and society in promoting community empowerment and sustainable development.

Through the publication of community service articles, Horizon Keilmuan Nusantara seeks to strengthen the role of universities in fulfilling the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in the area of community engagement.

Focus and Scope

The journal publishes articles related to various forms of community service activities, including but not limited to:

• Community empowerment and capacity building

• Technology transfer and appropriate technology for communities

• Educational outreach and community learning programs

• Economic empowerment and entrepreneurship development

• Environmental management and sustainable development initiatives

• Public health and community well-being programs

• Social innovation and participatory development

• Cultural preservation and local wisdom empowerment

• Digital literacy and community technology adoption

• Rural and urban community development

Articles should clearly describe the background of the community problem, the methods of intervention or assistance, implementation processes, and measurable impacts on the community.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by the editorial team to ensure alignment with the journal’s focus and scope. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are then evaluated by at least two independent reviewers through a double-blind peer review process to ensure objectivity and academic quality.

Publication Ethics

Horizon Keilmuan Nusantara adheres to strict publication ethics standards. Authors must submit original work that has not been previously published and is free from plagiarism or academic misconduct. All manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software before entering the review process.
